The Master of Science in Legal Studies provides students with an understanding of legal institutions, law and legal reasoning. It is a flexible program designed for people who interact, or plan to interact, regularly with the legal system, such as: Federal, state, and local government officials, lobbyists,human resources professionals,health care professionals, engineers,business managers.
The master's degree does not allow the holder to practice law or take a bar examination. It is not intended as a substitute for traditional paralegal training, but it does allow busy professionals to gain a much greater understanding of the legal and regulatory framework within their specialty.
